Epoxy Floor Coating Preparation
Regarding industrial, garage floor coating and other outdoor surfaces, epoxy resin flooring is one of the most popular and practical solutions among residents and business owners. To ensure its durability, resistance and excellent look, you will need someone to prepare the surface before the installation. That is where we step in with our proven tactics and professional epoxy floor coating preparation.
The first thing that needs to be done is creating a clean and slightly porous surface to ensure that epoxy flooring will adhere properly. Trying to bond epoxy to sealed or polished concrete is not recommended. Still, you don’t have to worry about anything because our skilled staff will be there to take care of everything before we start coating the application.
Also, we will thoroughly inspect existing concrete to see if any cracks need to be fixed and to remove all grease from the surface. If the temperature is inappropriate, it will cause the epoxy to bubble and peel. Because of that, it is important not to experiment with DIY solutions and to let our experienced team provide professional epoxy flooring for your residential or commercial property.
Roll on applied coatings
Roll-on resin flooring applications are typically applied using 2 or 3 coats with a build thickness of around 400 – 600 Microns. They can be applied with either a smooth finish or an epoxy resin non-slip flooring finish, which will meet any required slip ratings of your project. These systems are generally classed as medium-duty options.
Resin options for roll coat systems include:
- Epoxy
- Novolac
- Polyurethanes
- Polyaspartics
- Fast cure Methacrylate (MMA)
- Low odour solventless
- Waterbased
Our products come in a wide range of finishes, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your needs and the aesthetic of your property.
